How do you guys rate your D?

I didn't watch much Isles this year, but looking at advanced stats etc de Haan and Hickey both played well, as well as Hamonic. How would you rank your depth chart?

Do you guys have a legit top 4 between them and Visnovsky? Do you need another piece or two. We have kind of complementary rosters. We need a top 6 F piece and we have an extra D and you guys have extra 2nd/3rd liners and need a top 4 guy.

They want to get rid of the guy and that contract. I know they just signed him but for whatever reason they want to get rid of him. Hes not a bad player. He has his moments don't get me wrong but I think it'd be worth the chance to see if his game improves outside toronto. I can see that happen. He can go from a pretty good defenseman to a really good one. I just wouldnt want to give up too much for him.

Bailey straight up is fine- I think anyone of us would be glad to drive Bailey to the airport. I just want to limit what we move for that player- because you DO have to wonder why they want to get rid of him so badly. It may just be that they, like our brainless trust, don't know what the f**k they're doing half the time. That does appear to be the case, given their recent results, but I still want to limit what I offer for him.

Grabner Bailey and Donovan are on their way out. Its a shame because I like Grabner.

Well, Jack has to take coaching advice from someone who knows what they're doing.

I always liked him. Not that I get to see him regularly, but he's been great against the Pens.

Can we interest you guys in an aging and declining Dman with a bad contract. Scuderi for Grabner.....what do you say.

I think that the item you sell if you need to move one of our veterans is Nielsen, a player I've always liked far more than Grabner. He just has the most value, at a position where we have the most options. We need a quality defenseman, and I feel that if that costs us a solid veteran, it's going to be him. The only way Grabner brings you that player is if someone watches video of him stealing the puck and taking off at the blue line, without watching the part where he shoots the puck right at the goalie.

Hello everyone, it is a good day for Islanders. I have to admit after yesterday, I would thought to myself, "oh well that's all we could get: Chad Johnson and bunch of ahl castaways". Wow we got Grabov and Kul. Are they paid too much? probably but i don't care..Because it has been years since we actually signed someone like them. All I want to see is that Islanders doesn't trade Anders Lee, Ryan Strome, and Brock Nelson. Those players are the future of the ISLES. I know that everyone is talking about one more trade for a defenseman. I don't know who it would be. If it is bogosnian then great.

I think we would trade Bailey, Nielsen and Donovan. I don't think we would trade Grabner. I still think he is an asset to Isles with his speed. He just need to score for god's sake.

I don't mind Dion... would come pretty cheap if the Isles have to eat the whole contract.

Bailey is definitely move. No room for the heartless puke...

Phaneuf adds alot of oomph because of his competitive edge but now you have seven million eating onto the cap for seven more years.

Do you play the kids and hope Halak and the forwards bail them out?
Do you get a good experienced vet at a low price to mentor?
Do you add Del Zotto and play a wide open attack style with alot of depth players in BRI so you don't wear the team out by January?

EK has tomorrow as the day of trading. That would be nice and even better if Isles are involved.

I think you can add Franz and Clutterbuck to your list...maybe one of the def. prospects too...

Green is completely useless- Phaneuf is a far better option than him. Alzner is a decent player, who hopefully wouldn't cost that much.

Things can always fall through, but I just have to believe that these signings, which completely over stuff the roster with forwards, were done with something to ease that overabundance in mind.
