To land a player like Kane or bogosian, the first name the jets are asking for is strome. I'm not sure why everyone has him as untouchable when he's a center and not even our first line center. Lets be realistic. The kid hasn't proven anything at the NHL level. If his "name" could bring in two top players then I say nice knowin ya kid

I think people are forgetting what happened with another top 5 pick in niño. The isles got pennies on the dollar cause they decreased his value. Before strome can risk that, trade his "potential".

honestly, I see Nelson as a less gifted playmaking version of Jumbo Joe. I think he's going to score 25-30 goals and play a physical two way style. Those are so rare you can't risk trading them. Strome to me projects as a bit slower version of skinner. Good player, great hands, but I know which is more valuable to me.

We have other options. Pelech, Pokka, Pulock, Mayfield, Donovan. All have value, some more than others. We could build a package easily without adding Strome

Agreed, but the size of strome is what I'm on the fence about. I know there are small forwards who excel but I'd rather a bull like Nelson.

I briefly heard this morning on the NHL network about Kane doing something stupid on instagram or something like that. It was mentioned that the organization wasn't to thrilled by his action and other prior actions. Sorry, but bc he's not an islander I really didn't pay much attention to the story.

The kid has an EGO bigger than MT. Rushmore but is super talented and just a tad immature right now, but I've always liked him and will take him any day of the week....
