what's the forward lineup shaped up to be?
Nelson-JT-Okposo
Kulemin-Grabo-Strome
Bailey-Nielsen-Grabner
Lee-Cizikas-Clutterbuck
Conacher, Martin, Mcdonald?
Would either of Nelson or Lee possibly be the odd man out, now? Isles with the ability to send him up to EDM? - TheNugeIsHuge
no chance Nelson goes anywhere and Lee definitely looked fantastic in limited games last year. Bailey, Grabner, Nielson potential trade chips. |

Can't see lee as a 4th liner. God sake he had as many or more goals than bailey in 50 less games. I'd put lee on 2nd or even 3rd line. - The Iceman
At least one or two of those guys aren't going to be here when the season starts, so Lee will not get buried on line four. I can't imagine Snow not working something out for a defenseman- we have too many forwards now, so I'd have to think that was part of a plan of some kind. My only fear is that he's going to trade for Phil Housley when we need Scott Stevens.... |

Why is Grabner on the way out? Seems like a player you'd want to keep. - madmike71
You gotta give to get. Grabner has value and can be used to address the need on "D". |

The problem with Snow is that he seems to think Phil Housley IS Scott Stevens- he doesn't know the difference. He's apparently not going to be happy until we have six younger versions of Mark Streit in the lineup. As soon as he realizes that the only thing Reinhart can do is help keep the puck out of his own net, he'll be looking to move him, too. If we can score 12, we won't have to worry about the 5 we give up every night. It's seems to be this organization's on-ice philosophy at this point. Why else keep Capuano? There's no other logical reason for that. |

Nobody is happy that he's still the coach (except probably Cappy). Hopefully, the team plays so well this season that Cappy's job status is never an issue. But I have to believe that the isles are trying to make this coming season a big one and Garth can't possibly sit by idly if the team starts out slow. He'll have to make a move and fire Cappy. The hope is that if they do start slow and have to fire Cappy, they don't f*ck up the next hire and land a legit coach instead. |

I have to think Cronin or Weight will be the next coach. |

Guys, do you realize what it means? We wonder how we can set our lineup since we are stacked with forwards...I meant that in a good way! |

Have to admit, if we add 1 or 2 proven NHL Dmen and this team becomes a respectable PO team, Snow NEEDS to bring in a proven NHL coach if Cappy is fired
But you might be right..... |

Love the signings. Finally Garth must have came back from his vacation.
Anyway I am seeing the lines and Id o not want Nelson on the first line. I think Anders Lee with his size and the ability to get the dirty goals should be on the top line.
also I would not trade Grabner at this point. He is an awesome penalty killer and has the speed to kill. If Jack new how to coach Grabner could be one of the top players on the team. Now Bailey on the other hand see ya. I love Frans too but I would try to trade those two before I touch Grabner |

I would also rather have Lee on the first line and would trade Frans and Bailey before Grabner. |

I'd pay up for Boychuk but Nielsen is a big over-payment in my book. I want Boychuk on this team bad. |

Boychuck having only one more year on the deal is a concern. |

I'm sure we could extend him, it's getting guys here that is the problem, not keeping them. |

I do think there is a good shot in extending him. Especially if the Isles have a good year. Would McQuaid be a good enough guy to get? |

I mean I'd trade a garbage prospect for him just to have defensive depth, but I'm certainly not coveting him. |

I agree. Isles need a more sure thing. Especially if they move a Frans or Grabner. |
