We had those two on the team last season. Team didn't have much energy.

We didn't have Komarov, but the team had energy the season before, when we did.

I really like this lineup, for what we are trying to achieve this year.I happily be like Phx and Nashville for a couple of years. Then, once you have a solid foundation, that's when you move to upgrade.Last year, it felt like the team was just thrown together with no real plan or action. This year, so far, I think they will be solid, and hard to play against

He and Kadri had a lot going the previous season, and neither got it together this season.

Another thing people forget is the effect Komarov had on the team. Pretty much every time a line was struggling, he got put on it, and they found their legs again.

But you gotta understand, goalies don't garner too much in trades. Look what we gave up for Bernier. Look what Luongo got.

If we get a 2nd for Reimer, it'll be a steal- based on the market.

I don't think they choke. I just think that they can't compete. Simply not good enough of a team.
Teams going into the playoffs or fighting for a spot raise their game and play harder, meaner, faster hockey. The Leafs can't compete with other teams when they gear up for the stretch. That's why our collapses always happen near the end of the season.

Nope. Not quite. I think they'll be close (ish). I'd rather a solid foundation to build on than flip flopping most of a bottom 6 every year, while keeping the top 6 the same.

P.S. Depends what they do with Dion, Lupul, Franson, Reimer and availabe cap space

I think they're trying to get rid of distractions and asshats, Malone doesn't fit that...
