When Bernie went down last year, Reimer got his chance, and failed. Move along.
- MCharisma91

It's that simple eh?.. So bi-polar.. What happens when you (frank) up flipping burgers? Does Burger King fire you? Do you customers try to get you re-located?

no FA's left. And the chance to make drastic change (dion) is gone. Looks like our D is set or at least we have the bodies. Up front we don't even have 3 lines, so if you move say Lupul, what do you get back?

It's tank time baby, i didn't want it but i won't fight it.

- clark_griswold

Moving Dion would only make our defense worse,

and what do you mean we don't have 3 lines?

JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Lupul-Kadri-Clarkson
Frattin-Holland-Komarov

And that's not counting the new guy, the possibility of Legwand, or most of the RFAs/Youngsters the Leafs could bring in.

Like I said, you're not being realistic, you're looking at the worst case scenario, and ignoring the facts, which is pessimism.

If you can't keep a job a Burger King it might be time to reevaluate your self entirely.

to be fair..he played well...but so did the whole team including FRANSON and the D.

last year...the D stunk - Reimer didn't play great...so...the team plummeted.

- Garnie

The D was awful.. Can't blame Reimer for every bad game he played. Bernie let in just as many bad goals.

nope, never worked in a restaurant, but if you (frank) up your job, yes, you generally get fired.

I recommend everyone work in a restaurant at least once. Amazing.

So that pizza reference is irrelevant and this one is? Are you (frank)ed kid?
Is that what happened to you? Sorry to hear.

It is that simple. Reimer got his chance, and blew it, terribly. Let in soft goals. So what the D sucked, and yeah they didn't play their part, but neither did Reimer.

No.. You generally don't get fired.. Unless it's repetitive. There's a reason Reimer hasn't been traded, he holds value, like maybe stopping the puck.. Maybe.

Sad to say.. But Leafs must make a move for Heatley.

Only got with *hopefully offence left in free agency.

- CanadianBodmon

No chance. DOn't want heatley or Legwand.

Again last year i was opposed to a tank. Thought we could add some and slowly build up. HOwever, now, it's full blown tank. Can't even dress the roster without 50% of forwards being from the marlies.

May as well go all kids now. Problem is, we don't have any great kids, hence, it's bottom 10 for sure, IMO bottom 5. Florida and Buff got better, as did NYI. We got worse. I don't think we are 'tougher' to play against. Komarov is a pest and hits but plays limited minutes. Polak hits but not a scott stevens. Robidas is tough but not punishing. Frattin the same.

Realisticly, we are looking good for a top 5 pick besides Ottawa and Calgary. We are at least better than them.

Don't get me wrong we have some great pieces, just nowhere near a complete team let alone a playoff team.

It won't be a long rebuild, i think they realize with some of the long deals we have in place a year or 2 near the bottom and we'll be fine and still have solid pieces to compete in 2-3 years.

that 3rd line is awful, and to say 'the new guy', or legwand...not any more promising. I think you are more hopeful than i am pessimistic. Alot more has to go right for us to make the playoffs than has to go wrong for us to miss.

over a month of sub-par performance that costs your organization millions of dollars.

People have been fired for much less.

LOL.

If you we're the only guy flipping burgers in the city making millions, I'd think you're fire.

I think this is irrelevant IMO

The Leafs see value in him obviously. Truthfully I hope he never plays another game in TO, too much of a distraction. But I'd rather him than Budaj or some Alex Auld wannabe.
