Polak is the closest thing to Yushkevich we've had since Beauchemin

I miss Boyce and Crabby...with all the reunions going on Nonis should fly to Siberia and bring back those two guys...they can hit and play hard and will take off their gloves...isnt that the flavor of the month right now....

We don't even know our entire team yet lol

Gleason Ranger gunner out, polak robidas in and we're not better?

Frattin Leo > kuli Raymond and we're not better?

- Bigzby

gleason and a hobbled robidas = wash
gunnar (17 pts +14) for polak = wash
fratting and leo combined have about 30 nhl points (and they're not exactly power forwards). I hate panzis and raymond and kuli are both....but come on at least they could put up offense. I don't see how anyone who watches teams other than the leafs (watch polak and robidas play) can think we are better. Maybe not much worse, but no chance we are better. And not much worse is pretty sh*t.

I have no idea what the Fed tax is in the states, all I know is the winner of Survivor gets only 500,000 or so of the one million they win after tax.

Should be about $535,600 or something.

Here's the other thing about Robidas at 3M. Should we implode again and we need to trade assets, Robidas will be very easy to move....even if he sucks here. He's a very popular fella in the league amongst the coaches.

Finally a bright spot!

Agreed. and you know what? I don't mind it. If Shanahan wants a rebuild, then great. Let's do it right. Go after the top 2 players in a upcoming deep draft. But just don't half-ass it like we've done in the past or rush it. I think fans accept a rebuild knowing it's going to be done properly and we're feeding in top talent - i.e. rielly, now nylander, next year McDavid or the other guy ...
- ash146

hey i wasn't complaining like most think. I simply stated we are headed for bottom 8ish pick again. I said that may not be a bad thing. We do have some young players that will be here for a while.

To say we're better is hillarious.

Let Leo play as many minutes in the O zone as Raymond...then see, or how about Raymond play 6min a night in a checking role and PK see how many points he gets..

Fact of the matter is we needed a change on D. Potential to be better, especially if Rielly and Gardiner continue to improve. Gunnar sucked, whether he was hurt or not.

LOL what?

are you serious?

- big_dion

Of course I'm serious. The D comparison is closer, but we were very happy going into last year with that group, and look how they poop the bed. You're confident a 37 year old and bottom pairing guy will be an improvement? Wow.

And Leo/Frattin may be more physical than Raymond/Kuli, but there will be zero offense from that duo. Zero. And you do need offense from your 3rd line in the NHL.

Third line of Komarov-Ott-Clarkson? That would piss me off before I even got on the ice.

What would that take to get him though? Would be the most expensive 3rd line in the League I would think.
- Surrender Monkey

3rd line is about 9 million.

5.2+3 leaves .8 million, so I say if we get him under 1.8 million it'd be a good fit for us.
