IMHO the Leafs are going to compete for a playoff spot. Obviously they need to collectively get their (frank)ing heads together and pull their (frank)ing heads out of the dirt and poop that is the Toronto sports media conglomerate. This team is fully capable of making the playoffs - Raymond and Bolland barely made an inkling of a difference.

A brutal defensive team not signing mcclemant for a mil (and only getting much worse overall ) is due for a lottery pick after the draft and ufa period (unless a miracle happens). This isnt female doging and im not a pessamist. Just a 33 year old fan been watching from about 1988 on. Im fine with it, anyone hopeful of playoffs however.....time to lower expectations. We have some young pieces who will be here for a while, but next year is going to be very ugly.

It's frustrating cause it's not true.
We've lost scoring.
We gained a 3rd/4th liner that had a little chemistry for a little while during a HALF A FACKING season. Guess what the leafs would have made the playoffs this year had it only been 48 games too.
We traded for a 5th/6th dman and signed a 4th old injured dman and then overpaid for an energetic 3rd/4th liner.
We are so much better!

On here leaf fans love every move at first. Reason? All they watch is the leafs. They have no clue about the players we get. Then they see them play and call them crap. Robidas is no better than gleason. Both broken down warriors. Polak is tougher than gunnar (fights 2-3x a year and not a good fighter) but not as fleet of foot as gunnar. We lost depth scoring and gained nothing. But yeah we're way better.

Id say they are deliberate tanking but then why not move dion for a 2nd even? Im baffled.

I feel for the poor bastards out there who have Reimer, Bolland, Gunnar, McClement or Kulemin jerseys hanging in their closet. MLSE are merch geniuses, picking a keeper jersey has been next to impossible since Sundin.
