Why not feel the same way about Franson?

He did what was best for his team. Not the franchise. They were in the playoff race. He would be giving up on those around him at that point in time. I respect his descision but as a long suffering leaf fan would have enjoyed a return

franson is completely useless, and definitely won't resign at a cap friendly number. he did his part taking less money on his last deal, he'll want to cash in regardless of how poorly he played.

ya ok that's fine, but you don't think Del Zotto will be exactly the same? Other than his value being lower cause he's moved teams twice in a year... If you believe Del Zotto can bounce back and Franson can't, I think that's weird.

Also you could argue that Franson struggles in the Leafs' system, but if he can't play it, Del Zotto sure as hell wouldn't IMO

i dont get why trevor smith is being over looked. guy played great in his call up last year. unfortunate injury kept him out. easily could play 4th line center
