i think leafs should get a 4th line of AHL guys and play them like they are a 3rd line.
split the time up better.
and my god i hope phil has a few more options on the PP this year than sitting on the side boards letting that snap shot go.... - big_dion
I agree fully...the minutes should be balanced ...no more 4-6 mins a game for the 4th line... |

#FIRECARLYLE #FIRETIMMINS #FIRENONIS - Atreides So heres what i'm hearing from my neck of the woods. Take it for what its worth. Could be true or could not. Alot of players are not interested in coming to TO because they dont know the direction the team is going. Alot of players thought that RC would of been fired and a new coaching staff implemented way before free agency started. They dont want to take the chance and jump into a place thats as of now very undecided what there doing.

I disagree that Frattin is a bad fit on the second line. I hope to see either him or Leivo there. Both have energy and never give up on a play, and both have just enough skill to succeed with Lupes and Kads.
Putting rookies in positions to succeed vs. sheltering them on lower lines is sometimes the way to go. Who was talking about Tanner Pearson at the start of last season? |

legwand is better option than holland?
what u think - big_dion
Hell yeah depending on the price, and still go get Santorelli (if healthy) or Fiddler and let the baby Leafs gel a bit more with the Marlies. |

as long as Holland doesn't play 6 mins a night when he's on the 4th...I'm alright with Holland centering the 4th line. |

They won't be. We've gotten better on D. Still not GREAT, but it's gotten better. We got rid of soft Raymond ..and overplayed McClement. Kulemin is a loss, but we brought back Komarov to replace him. Raymond on the PP instead of Clarkson was wrong. Clarkson should be on that 3rd line with Komarov, but get 2nd unit PP time.
Minutes will be spread out. We're too good to finish top 5, and we AREN'T "tanking". .it's so dumb people think we are, especially with guys in their prime such as Kadri, JVR, Kessel.. get it out of your heads fellas. - MCharisma91
Problem is we're also not good enough to make the playoffs. Florida and buffalo got better for god's sake.
Bos, Pit, CBJ, Det, Phil, NYR, TB, should all be playoff teams. Maybe Phi and Det miss but they are looking good at the moment. After that anyone can make it (with one spot open). I haven't always been a pessimist; but after the draft and UFA period, tough to be optimistic. I don't think a single Canadian team makes the playoffs next year. |

You know, the Leafs only have one PK person in Komarov and a part timer in JVR upfront, so this is being addressed, hence Legwand. |

We should've given Kulemin a top 6 chance instead of signing Clarkson. Can't see him potting any less than 20 getting 2nd PP minutes and 16 minutes a night. |

Very true...Like i said before not gonna be upset if it happens..Cant totally fill the bottom 6 with AHLers..need some experience back there and he would certainly fill that need.. |
