I think it would be a good move. Kadri won't produce with Carlyle here.....why not turn him into a bonafide star?

To Tor: Sharp, Oduya. - Phenom

We already have a problem finding centers.
I don't like Kadri much, but if Carlyle is his problem, I would rather see Carlyle gone.

lol i like our additions, komarov overpaid but whatever; were not talking insane amount here. - big_dion
Got a ton of cap space left and a few more moves coming. Not bad at all
Anyone who thought Nonis was going to part the (frank)ing Red Sea and magically make this team a contender deserves to wallow in their disappointment anyway. The price you pay for being naive |

If Sharp is available, I think we HAVE to take a run at him. That's the kind of player you want to have a successful team. He's skilled, gritty and knows what it takes to win. Hawks have serious cap issues so it wouldn't take a king's ransom to get him.
Kadri, B-level prospect, C-level prospect and 3rd or 2016 2nd. Would that get it done? Maybe we take on a secondary contract from them?
Kadri makes $3 million less than Sharp and Richards will be off the books next season and Kadri can step into the 2C or 3C role there. Plus I'm not sure Kadri can thrive as long as Carlyle is here. - Phenom

His name is Stasny, an american born above average centerman whos familiar with 2/3rds of our "top line". He'd be here right now if we had track, we don't, we're what the furthest thing from the cup looks like. Our team's state literally looks like a boy going through puberty (for 10 years) as opposed to the Blues who's team looks like a cK model. And thats why we lost out on him. Cause he wants to be someone on a someone team. So yeah, it could have gotten better for the Leafs, to maybe finally get the centerman you guys keep telling the world you need, cause lets face it, chemistry or not, Bozak would struggle making Chicagos 3rd line center position. And FYI, Detroit doesnt ever need to do anything, they'll make the playoffs regardless, with their captain or without, with an injured Dats or without, they manage, we don't. They draft players, we draft nothings. So yeah, sooner or later I'll be having fun in Detroit. - Mr.Bordzz
I love this site!
First, look at the team he went to and he got paid 7 (frank)ing million dollars to do it.
7 million. Had 60 points on an offensive team.
7 million.

I'm happy we didn't get him. You should show Bozak more respect. I'd take him over Richards (chicago, since u said bozak is a number 3 there) too. 4.2 million of his cap gives us another 2.8 to add somewhere else on a cap tight team.
He turns Kessel on and gives him pretty passes while steadily improving every year. He's our guy for now. Stas is too much money, he'd be 8 million to come here.
We have done good over the past week so I don't know what hockey your watching.
Have fun on Detroits, aging, declining, free agent free team.
They are on the decline unless nyquist and mantha step up huge soon. zetty and dats are what? 33? 34? |

Nonis is on TSN saying he wants the team to compete harder. To me that translates to: our team is gonna suck, and we're going down to the lottery but at least we'll put up a fight. |

Age is not that bad.....this is assuming Nylander can step in in a few years. Cap, I think we can manage, especially if the cap goes up next season. Sharp is signed for three more years. We can be competitive cuz I don't think there's any chance for us to get McDavid or Eichel.....so why not try?
Carlyle should be gone....but seeing as how they signed him to a 2-year extension, it's not likely. |
