If I got a 5M check, I may just grab some officer butts too. Shea Weber probably grabbed 2x as much butt celebrating his 13M, but no one reported it
- eayost

That would be 2.6x as much butt.

In related news, Giroux got a $5m signing bonus yesterday.

That must have been some Canada Day for Giroux.

It's the offseason, and pretty early into it. I don't care.

If you can punch a cab driver and win a couple cups, I think Giroux will be ok

this x 100000000000000

adults drink in their free time. unfortunately this time there was a bit too much sauce involved and their shenanigans was played upon the wrong law enforcement official. he didn't physically hurt anyone (tho i'm not one for supporting any sort of sexual harassment or abuse). i honestly bet the whole situation was ridiculously funny...even to the point where he was tossed in the drunk tank.

come back and actually play Hart Trophy hockey from the start of the season and there are no issues, Claude.

The butt grabbing to bonus ratio is not linear.

I was actually relieved to hear he didn't break his hand or anything.

He was totally asking for it.

Did you see the way he was dressed?

Would you wanna cross Shea Weber? He'd probably grab the officer by the back of the head and slam it into his car window.

I'd have a problem with this if it was during the season or training camp. Does it display a lack of judgement and maybe maturity a bit? Yea, it does. People make mistakes and grow from them all the time. Who knows what these guys do we never hear about.

oh my gaude

http://www.ottawasun.com/...giroux-arrested-in-ottawa

Although few details were immediately available, a source said Giroux was arrested for repeatedly grabbing the buttocks of a male police officer. Alcohol is believed to have been involved.

Trade him, he's partying too much! LOL Cue the same BS as with Richards and Carter!

Quick question for the cap crowd:

Could Grossmann have been CBO'ed?

honestly, can't even be mad. if anything, that's hilarious. let's be real, everybody is guilty of being a drunk fool every once in a while. he probably got a little too drunk and thought it would be funny to mess around with a cop and apparently the cop he picked was the wrong one. let's be honest, what 26 year old athlete that has millions of dollars doesn't partake in a little partying every now and then? its not like he did anything violent or dangerous. if this was during the playoffs or season maybe i'd be a little worried, but its the offseason and of course the players are gonna party every now and then. everyone makes mistakes

Canada Day in our Nation's Capital is quite an experience. I can't imagine what that would be like with $5MM in the bank.

Likely drunk tank and a fine.

Doesn't excuse him.

I think the bigger injury is going to be to his ego when opponents start giving him poop on the ice.

If that's the case, why wouldn't Buffalo trade Ehrhoff for a guy like Grossmann? Wouldn't that save them a boatload of money?
