i don't see it that way. why is it poopty to use an offer sheet. it's an available tool, one that usually never works. honestly, if a team can't get it's poop together to sign their own player and make a deal, i say let the other teams have a crack.

anyway...it's in vinny's best interest to find a way to not be such a lug, and hopefully stay healthy. otherwise, he's going to find the end of his nhl career comes sooner rather than later, and won't go out on his own terms while making less than he wants. can he do that? we better hope so. it's on our best interest too. for obvious reasons.

that might be exactly what happens, and akeson's got wheels and a knack for being in the right place.

i'd still like to see read get a shot on the top line, which would probably then put schenn back on vinny's wing, which didn't work much and then akeson on the 3rd line, which could work out great...i dunno....

Only one year 2.5. I don't think they want to commit long term to an aging center with question marks at the cap hit Vinny has. Flyers probably could have gotten it done if they are enough cap hit

I really have my doubts, unless he finds some speed he didn't show last season for whatever reason.

Sure he will be better if you line him up at C with Voracek and and say Read.

But is that better then G/Jake or what lots of people would like to see BSchenn centering Jake?
