Lol, seems like Puck Daddy finally picked up on the story:

"Giroux, 26, is known for his crack offense, always finding a hole, and firm defense, always applying backside pressure. He’s beloved by Flyers fans for his cheeky disposition and for always giving their opponents a handful."

"As one of the NHL’s brightest stars, hopefully this is just a rump in the road. It would be a shame if he suddenly hit bottom. A bit of a bummer, actually."

Yes, if he spent his 98 dollars on a grill, charcoal, and lighter fluid but doesn't have any matches or tongs and his steak is 3 days past expiry and tough as leather.

(getting in the 4th of July bbq spirit)

Hopefully, everyone can see the difference in partying it up over the summer and during the regular season and/or the playoffs (can't remember when dry island was...)

As long as it does not affect their play, I don't care what they do in their free time. As long as it's not immoral or illegal.

Is it wrong to be relieved that he wasn't injured in this incident?

Who said anything about injured or not... I was referring to the Richard/Carter dry island comparisons

I didn't mean my response to imply that I was picking on your point.

I didn't realize grabbing the butt of a police officer was an arrestable offense.

If two people have a 100 dollars to spend in a store. One guy goes in and picks out all that he wants to buy, and spends 98 dollars.
The other guy goes in, picks out all he wants to buy, and only spends 88 dollars. The guy who spent 98 dollars mismanaged his money? Or did he just already spend most of his allotment. And has less to spend the next time he goes in the store?
This idea that because the Flyers don't have a ton of cap space, means that they mismanaged the cap, is false.

Depends on whether they bought it with cash or credit. If credit, is he going to pay the balance all at once when his bill is due, or in installments? If so, what are his interest rates? Also, how did they earn the money they are spending? Was it a birthday gift, or did he work for it? Was tax paid on the money he earned? Are they shopping at the same stores? Do they have the same sales tax? Is there a sale in one store, where he actually saved money even though more expensive things were bought?

Yeah, I agree, some context is definitely needed there.
