Free agents sign for 2 things. Money, and chance to win. Right now Ottawa can't provide either. Moulson and Gionta signed in Buffalo. Are they a contender? No. But they did pay them nicely. But it is always that way. I am still angry with the Leafs for the way Sundin was treated. Gilmore was treated shamefully but that was repaired some when they brought him back. It really is always the same story. Guys get older. Skills decline. But they still want top money and ice time.
