He is apparently asking for big money, long term. The fact they're still negotiating is freaking me out right now.

We have such little cap flexibility that it's insane to give a chunk to a guy who might never be fully healthy or 100% again.

I have a horrible feeling the two sides get it done. I can't believe they seriously have this much interest in the guy..

He was a very good fit when healthy. He was clearly not ready to return when he did.

$4m or less I think they need to keep him (4 yrs max).

Reports were he wanted 6/7 years at 4.9 and Leafs were at 4/5 years and 4'ish. If it happens it's probably 5/6 years at 4.5'ish.

Give Fiddler 2/3 years at 2.5 or 3 or whatever. Money better spent.
