Stastny wanted to go to.a better team... plus backes and oshie are.there - DougGilmour_93
Exactly, so it would've taken a lot more than $7M per to get him to sign here. |

While i'm sure we all like Komorov. That being said 3mil over 4 years is way too much for a 3rd line player at best (probably more likely a 4th line). - blahman20
You're wrong. 3M for a 3rd liner is good value. If he ends up being a 4th liner than yes, over paid. If he gets 3rd line minutes and PK minutes then no his contract is fine.
Bolland is an overpaid 3rd liner. |

This isn't 2005 anymore. Your valuations remaining strictly to which line they play on doesn't work anymore.
Why do people forget Komo immediately becomes our best PKer? - mcleafs
3mil per year for a Penalty Killer? Pretty sure Jay McClement is going to come cheaper than that. |

Complains about stupid contracts and mediocrity.
Loves Lupul and his broken body and his 5.2 million cap hit.... - jbold
Pair him with kessel, he gets 60-70pts.healthy full season.... so irrelevant |

He thinks every player wants to sign with the Leafs, and if they dont, its because Nonis didnt talk to them.. - jbold

I dont, broken legs dont deem 3M...boyle is the healthier individual - DougGilmour_93
slashed tendons don't deem 5.5 for 5 years.
It's UFA day.
We needed Robidas more than Boyle. |

McClement doesnt play with the same grit Komarov does.
Komo does whatever it takes to win. Blocks shots, hits eveyrthing. |

I don't know about everybody else, but I'd rather have Stastny and Boyle at 11.5 over Polak, Komarov, Robidas, and Frattin at over 10 million plus of mediocre talent!!!! We win again! - ThePresident
Ok, cool, but Stastny and Boyle at $11.5M weren't an option for Toronto. St. Louis and NYR are both really good teams, why would either of those players choose Toronto for the same offer? Nonis can't just match any offer and we get the player, they have some input too. |

How are you not getting this? - Big_Lightnin
You guys were all laughing at how much of an overpayment they were, but now you're all singing a different tune with the same amount tied up in mediocre talent. |

You still haven't explained how they're going to replace his goal production. No one on the Marlies right now projects to score like that, there's no UFA wingers left than can produce what Lupul does, he has built in chemistry if Kessel should they decide to shake up the lines... Unless you want them to play pin the tail on the donkey and find another Raymond, is that what you want? |

Bolland is an overpaid 3rd liner. - Steven_Dean
Bolland is a much better player than Komorov, and he's getting paid like it. Bolland is a proven playoff performer also. Komarov has played a grand total of 42 games in the NHL and that was two years ago. There isn't much of a comparison. |
