I don't get why people are complaining about a little over-payment. Free agents 99% of the time get way more money then they deserve. IMO Leafs saved a ton of money not signing Boyle, Bolland and Stastny so they can afford to over-pay a character guy like Komarov.

Is he worth $2.95m? Probably not
Did he make the Leafs a tougher team to play against? Yes, without a doubt.

I hear ya!

You don't love it because it's pretty much the same lineup as last year, which was not good enough. I still believe the Leafs main issue is their total team D, which includes the forwards. Robidas is a good signing for the Leafs, as they needed a veteran D-man and he can still play. They still need to try and upgrade the D even more though.

I'm not concerned with the lines per se, rather it's the individuals we have to work with that I'm underwhelmed with. I wouldn't mind more of a shake-up.

I like what has changed with the defense. Not great, but much better. Hopefully, we can package Franson and Reimer for something interesting.

Leafs are bit better now simply because Robidas > Gleason and Polak > Franger. Need to spend last $8-million to add scoring depth though.
