The Leafs will draft 10th next season. There is nothing they could do to change that because the team is too sh1tty and has too many bad contracts already.
So, really, what does it matter.

Teams hate playing against komorov too. Finally, we are starting to look tough to play against again unlike last years debacle which was a vacation on ice.

Agreed. Everyone played softer without him on the team too. It was very noticeable. It's definitely an overpayment and the term is a bit crazy but they needed him. |

Kadri had no leverage because he was coming off his entry level contract. His contract next year will prob be 5+ million with the way contracts are being handed out today |
