How about a more plausible and extremely likely scenario. The leafs strike out all of the marquee names today. All their own ufas (Bolland, Mcclement, Komarov, Kulemin and Raymond) all sign elsewhere and quickly. Trades dont materialize for them, Montreals Jorges agrees to go elsewhere and other big fish find better dancing partners. Leafs get left out in the cold with half a forward group still to fill a and 1/3 a d group. A disgruntled goalie still to trade and an Rfa in Franson that likely doesn't wanna be here either anymore. Not even a real silver lining here for the buds. Could be a disaster, brace for it

I liked Moore both when he played for TO and having seen him play with the Rags in the playoffs last season....just don't overpay (yeah right).

Malhotra wins 59.4% of draws, kills penalties, and costs 1/2 what Mcclemment does
Gilbert is a pretty decent guy to have @2.8 per. He would have been an upgrade on Franson, and is a solid posession player
