He is going to be a 3rd line winger now, and he was always a go-to PKer during 2012.
- mcleafs

Because a year in the KHL obviously points to him improving.

Aren't we going to put Frattin on the 3rd line?

And Clarkson?

So he hates the Leafs. Hates them so much that he refuses to play for them.

Yet he has small talk with Leafs players all the time, who fill him in on how bad the dressing room is?

OK, that makes perfect sense.

You don't think he'd contact buddies on the team and feel things out before making a decision?

I see.

In 2012 the main PKers were McClement and Kulemin though, with Bozak taking the draw and sprinting to the bench when he had a chance. Komarov was the fourth guy in.

That has to be worth at least a couple of extra million.. No ??

Would Signing Brodeur be good for the Leafs room...Brodeur wants to keep a close eye on his son playing in Oshawa and would likely come cheap to back up 2-4 mill?

apparently 6 teams wanted him...drove the price up...but he was one player Nonis was not gonna lose...wish he had that passion for 1st line players and defense!!
- lmrick76

I know, right?
I said yesterday, in less than two years Dallas acquired two top line centers, the leafs havent been able to acquire one in 10 years.

The weird thing is Brodeur always played below his skill level against Toronto (don't ask me to explain why - it's a riddle wrapped inside a mystery, smothered in secret sauce).

So how would this translate if he was to pull on a blue and white sweater?

Because he already sucks...

Gorges is the one who brought up the rivalry issue... Did you just say brady was knowledgeable? Sarcasm right?

And it wouldn't be just $2-4 million - you'd also have to let Brodeur eat anything he wants out of the fridge, and he can select a movie from Rogers on Demand after Bernier goes to bed.

Everybody talks about how the 3rd line is so important.

I'm just so glad the Leafs are back to our tried and true strategy of trying to put together a team of four 3rd lines.

You need to think of the merchandising aspect though.

He was a third liner most of the year we made the playoffs, he definitely hasn't regressed....

Merchandising is split between the 30 teams, no one team makes a fortune off the sales.
