Now, that'll be interesting. - Pecafan Fan
$600K with 6 positions to fill - with Savard on LTIR, there will be 7 for $3.4M. They gotta move people. Boychuk, maybe Chris Kelly or they try to get something for Marchand. They all have NTC's though |

I hear he and 'Nucks fans have special relationship. He'd get along well with their new goalie as well |

Am I the only one here (I know I'm not, it's more rhetorical) that was not expecting a quick fix going into next season?
We will likely miss the playoffs this season, which I'm totally ok with, and then apply further tweaks next year, and get more into the 6 to 8 range possibly.
My main concern with the Leafs right now is not doing anything to screw up the 2016 season. Call me crazy, but this is what I want right now. - mcleafs
Wow, easy to please.
This is the longest "rebuild" ever. |

That's the difference between me and you. You are okay with missing the playoffs because you think it would benefit the team in the long run. I see it as being harmful to the team. Kessel JVR Kadri Phaneuf are all in their prime or coming close to it, why waste time to try to sign a couple 18yr olds? It would hurt their confidence and I for one have wasted enough of my life not watching the Leafs in the playoffs. If we were guarenteed McDavid it might pay off, but we're not. Let's keep going in a forward direction here. You might have lots of time to kill, but I'm tired of it. End Rant. |

It was not bernier / reimer..
Leafs ran out of luck; they were being outshot and had bad posession numbers during all year, so it was bound to happen that their winning turned into losing most games. Just a coincidence that it happened around same time bernier got injured. Reimer is a very good backup, actually 1B goalie. You can't do much better in backups than Reimer. - MaximusAurelius
Riiiiight ...
so when a team runs counter to the advanced stats for more than 100 games (last season inc.) it is all about luck...
but then they get a key injury but that isn't the problem. Apparently the problem is that their luck ran out.
I suppose Colorado's luck just happened to run out in the playoffs. |

There's no such thing as luck. Sometimes it appears like teams get lucky, but in reality it's just a game of odds. |
