For one thing, who's gonna win a faceoff.
More subtraction then addition, unless Nonnis got a Ace up his sleeves, which I doubt I'm pretty sure Leo isn't a upgrade to Kulimensleeve's, may not be any worst but not a upgrade, who's replacing Bolland and MaClement

- ISRLabradorLeaf

yes. who's going to take the 23 games worth of faceoffs Bolland took?

Couldn't possibly be Holland, the guy who replaced him for most of last season.

And who'll win those 4th line faceoffs? WHAT WILL WE DO??

We can't count on him yet though, ugh. Sophomore d-men have a steep learning curve usually, lets hope he doesn't regress.
- ejeezy

They will be counting on him a lot. He's shown that he's very strong mentally.

To be honest..I look at Polak replacing and being better than Fraser...

Phaneuf Robidas
Gards/Rielly
Franson/Polak

depending on zone starts etc.

Frattin is an upgrade to the 3rd , 4th line if he can recapture his form, Holland to get important minutes, Komorav is an upgrade to 3rd 4th line and PK, all our D should be playing the correct sides, the 2 young D should get more important minutes..all the soft players have been let go...I see nothing wrong with today, its not like were Chicago, Kings, or even Tampa.

We got way more character, dont we want the young kids to gain more responsibilities? Didnt overpay or hand out crazy term..

So happy I can use this again.

Matt Frattin is to the Leafs, what the giant Redwood tree is to the forest. A pillar of growth and strength, one which builds up its surroundings into lush fertile ground.

Carrick should get 1st crack at 4th line C, his possession numbers are really good, strong, can fight , kill penalties
