its just not happening... JVR is young enough and signed long enough to mature with Kessel.. Lupul not so much.

I'm know. As Glucks said, Richards is looking to sign with a contender with a great supporting cast to have a great year and sign a bigger deal next season.

It also doesn't hurt that Toews and Kane are in contract years and will be playing their balls off which will ultimately benefit Richards by default.
