you dont have to agree with people.. but insulting other opinions will result in bans

not having it today

I wasn't trying to insult him at all. I was poking fun at him for the long string of typos. Sorry, think I probably should have thrown in an emoticon to make it seem more jokish. Didn't mean it the way it seemed, sorry.

I hope Gunnar bounces back, but it'd be really hard for Polak not to be an improvement over Gunnar the last couple of years.

Added to that, he's a better fit for the team(righty, as you said) and a shut-down guy.

Will have to wait and see just how he plays, but aside from us retaining salary, can't really complain about the deal.

Oh, and Tampa didn't QO Aulie, so I'd like him back, too.

- Feeling Glucky?

What ever minutes Gleason had will now go to Polak.

If they get D. Boyle, I would think he'll be paired up with Dion.

He was a very good fit when healthy. He as clearly it ready to return when he did.

$4m or less I think they need to keep him (4 yrs max).

- Big_Lightnin

I respectfully disagree, I like Bolland but you don't pay a 3rd line center that much his salary as it is right now is max. he's too injury prone to commit years and money to (as a side note his ankle injury was a freak accident, but you don't recover 100% from that ever.)

boyle was third pairing in SJ

just saying.. talent is there.. but if he wasnt being matched up against top lines you have to stop and think there may be a reason for that.

I know, we are stuck with him, hard to clear the puck on the PK with one hand on the stick.
- LeafMan

Truth be told I think he's a good dman - they just need to stop trying to make him into some defensive stopper.

How about a more plausible and extremely likely scenario. The leafs strike out all of the marquee names today. All their own ufas (Bolland, Mcclement, Komarov, Kulemin and Raymond) all sign elsewhere and quickly. Trades dont materialize for them, Montreals Jorges agrees to go elsewhere and other big fish find better dancing partners. Leafs get left out in the cold with half a forward group still to fill a and 1/3 a d group. A disgruntled goalie still to trade and an Rfa in Franson that likely doesn't wanna be here either anymore. Not even a real silver lining here for the buds. Could be a disaster, brace for it

I think it starts from the top.. It's obviously the fans fault for bein okay with Lieweke and Shanny, who are really pulling the stings. It's your (frank)ing fault man.

Make it 18 million instead of 23 mil once Bolland is signed

Legwan would be a better fit me thinks.

If ALL that happens today is Franson doesn't want to be a leaf anymore, that's the best July 1st in years

If Bolland would have taken 4/5 yrs x 4 I think it would've been done by now. Lets hope he gets greedy and lands in Florida.
