And Nelson, someone is moving to the wing, Kulemin got overpaid but Grabo is solid

Garbo had the exact same deal w Toronto and got bought out
Didn't he? Not what I'd call 'solid' at all...but I give his agent high
Marks.

Is that alot of money for him? Yes, of course. But the Isles have all the money in the world under the cap, so might as well spend it. Who cares if you overpay for a good player when your miles away from the cap ceiling? Good move, IMO.

I agree. although its hard for some to comprehend. If the Pens, Devils or you guys gave them this money it would be a terrible deal, but the Isles are like 100 million under the cap. About time they show their fans they will spend.

Grabs and Frans may be traded. Bailey is definitely gone. Lee will be a top six player

I would try to keep Frans if I were you guys. Nice veteran presence for all those rookie centers. And on top of that, he's one of your best defensive forwards. Bailey and Grabner are terrible though.

What about a Bailey for Scuderi deal?

Damn I would've loved him on this squad. No way to make the money work though.

Grabners a great player, going to bring back a decent return for the isles if traded. Bailey is worthless but apparently lots of teams are interested. IDK why

Legwand still out there, although signing him would require moving one of the third pair defenders out of town. Don't be surprised if they go after Heatley either if he would sign for peanuts. Not saying I want that to happen, just saying don't be surprised. Sather wanted him the year they signed Gabby.

Bailey is the type of guy who has some potential and may benefit by a change of scenery and some good coaching. I would take him as a project, but not at his salary.

John Moore for Bailey with the Isle retaining 25% of his cap hit?

Sorry but that shyte is hard to fathom. Wild overpayment for
Questionable players? Must be a better way. In 3-4 years -when the team
Is hoping to be better- yer still
Stuck with those contracts. Seems like with those 2 guys
You coulda done 2 year deals? They are both kind of on the scrap
Heap at the moment. In any case, it just ain't right.

The cap will be over 77 million in 3 years, probably more. When you only have spent roughly 50 million of, it's not that big of a deal.

He seems to have settled into a 35-40 point type player after a very good start to his career. But, he's got wheels, probably could be had for somewhere in the mid-2s, and I think would fit with the Rangers. Still would rather have the center, but if they can't swing that, I would be fine with Seto as a but if a reclamation project. Hags, Miller and Seto is a nice third line.

I realize it's all about reaching the cap floor. It just doesn't sit
Right that a guy (Grabo) gets bought out for failing and then gets the
Same contract again 2 years later after proving nothing and Kuli
Gets 4+ for 4 years for no good reason. Good players should be
Compensated, not marginal ones. Makes pouliots oilers deal seem
Justified. These guys are the ones no respectable team wanted to
Sign.

That's UFA. It's a crazy world and if Pouliot's new contract is justified than so is Kuelmin's and Grabovski's. Pouliot has the less amount of career points out of all the 3. Pouliot's single season high in goals in the lowest out of the 3. They hit the market and found the right desperate teams. Happens all the time.
