This could be our roster assuming we don't sign anyone else:

If Sather can cut a few dollars off Kreider, Zucc, and Brassard's deals it could be something like this:

Jeff Gorton says team still wants to bring in another forward, not sure whether that would be via free agency or trade.

Did they Boo Brashear a few years ago? I would have thought there was a case for that. I think Glass might be a pleasant surprise. There were many times during the season that we need a momentum change. I think Glass can do that, but I agree that he cant take stupid penalties. I envision him getting shift against Crosby and nailing him with a clean solid check.

They didn't do introductions opening night that year ....my guess was so brash wouldn't get booed

Almost feel like it has to be him or Vrbata, only right handed forward with a solid spot is Stepan, Fast and Kristo if one of them make it

What about Ribeiro?

Few things:

1. With the way he left the 'Yotes, and with Maloney sh*tting all over him on his way out the door, he may be a malcontent, psycho, or both.
2. Because of one, he may come cheap, but do we really want a cheap malcontent, psycho that can play the game a little.
3. Do you take a chance for a $1 million hoping that he realizes that he may be playing for his future in the NHL, and straightens up, knowning that you can always bury him in Hartford at a very minimal risk (assuming someone doesn't pick him up if you waive him).
4. We need cheap, we need a center, and we need someone that can play a little. Is this worth the risk?

Is he fast enough to play in our system? He tends to put up points but at the age of 34, he's definitely over the hump and I'm not sure he's the type of player that will have a graceful decline.

Wouldn't mind taking the risk if we new exactly what the issues were.

I'm talking about a $1 million/1 year deal here (similar to a Pouilot type deal), so I don't care much about his long term decline, so long as it doesn't happen immediately. I care more abou this state of mind, what is going on with him, and whether the Rangers locker rook is strong enough to support him, and keep him on the straight and narrow. Or, whether that would take too much energy away from more important things.

Thanks Pete, yeah I would make an offer. Seems like he was not happy being in the desert, and the past marital problem thing combined to make him miserable. He wont be considered the #1 here and have that pressure. Little closer to home too.

Give the wife a $1 million bonus if she treats him well through next year, with half being paid up front. Perfect.

David Legwand expected to sign with a team in the NHL, sometime soon, despite interest from other teams not in the NHL.

I just think he'll cost too much. A guy that I've been interested in, however, but just don't see how they make the space.

After getting bought out though, possibly cheaper 1 yr deal, like Erhoff?

He already took that one year cheaper deal last year, and had a good season, so I think he is going to be looking for some bucks this year, and there will be teams to give it to him.
