The reality is that Sather managed to pull some pieces out of the scrap pile last year that turned into gems at the right time. No one advocates over paying them now. The frustration we all have is that now with $17M left to fill out half of the roster he will have to pull another rabbit out of that magic hat just to break even.

Unless at least 2 guys from Hartford can make the roster and do great things this year I can't see this team improving upon last year.

Kudos to Sather for not overpaying for Stastny, Pouliot, Stralman, Orpik, or any other UFA who got some ridiculous deal today. Now sign the RFA so I can enjoy summer in peace.

Whatever happened to Buffalo wanting to make Brian Boyle a 1st or 2nd line center? Seems like they should have locked their guy up by now with Stastny and Spezza gone.

Well we always talk about our prospects, lets see if some of them can fill some roles with the big club, since it appears that way. I'm kind of excited to see what some of these kids could do.
