Martin St. Louis worked out, and he is still here, which is a big part of why Dan Boyle is here now.

That's for sure. And, our views are influenced by what is going on at any particular moment. Stralman is great! Stralman had some bad games, he's terrible and threw away his career by not signing the Rangers $9 million/three year offer. Stralman is great again, let's give him $5 million. B. Boyle sucks! B. I understand. That's a big problem for fans...we automatically assume the worst. The positive side is its only 2 years...no fear of a needed buyout or anything like that

Why I like this move is because AV isn't torts. He knows how to utilize certain players. It's obvious to me now that Richards was his only true option on the point this year that he was comfortable in,now Boyle slots in there.

I really think ideally we put Boyle on the 3rd pair...Klein with staal. Maybe you trade Moore for a more stay at home kind of guy

I would definitely argue Richards was a success too. It's not the Rangers fault they changed the rules of the CBA after he was signed, which is the only reason he is gone.

Would they have had won 6 playoff rounds in the last three years without him? I actually don't think so. I'm not paying his buyout, so I consider him a successful signing. Perhaps Jim Dolan would feel differently.

Not sure how I feel about D Boyle. Only 2 years thankfully and we have a solids corps around him but...

As far as Stralman? Good riddance. Certainly not worth the years/dollars he wants. As good as he was here in the short term, he benefitted from his counterparts. He's vastly overrated
