No thanks on Ribeiro or Vanek. Legwand and Vrbata are my 2 favorites but taking Iginla from Boston would be nice. I fear Grabovski would only come at the price of Brassard.

I'm tired of chasing the PP QB. We should just worry about hockey and 5v5 and let the PP sort itself out with a system.

Those should get 9 or 10 of that 17 million. It's rough now.

I guess you don't find the constant blown passes and puck movement from the points on the PP, or the multitude of unproductive point shots to be a massive waste of time and opportunity? How about the indecisiveness whilst moving the puck through the neutral zone? Not that a capable QB eliminates all occurrences of this... But experience and "veteran savvy" have to account for something here.

Here's what I don't get. Weren't you the one saying you don't like to tie up that much money in defense and then we just tied up that money in defense. I don't like havign a mobile Dman signed till he is 40 on a NMC that will restrict how we can improve, or negate the damage done to our forwards. Sorry.

He built a team that won the Eastern Conference last year. Also, many of the same guys that we are complaining about leaving town last year were signed by Slats from the scrapheap on great short term deals. Does he get credit for signing Moore, Pouilot, Zucc, et. in the first place. Or acquiring Brian Boyle for a third round pick?
