It certainly is not the 2nd coming of Redden. 2 yrs is at least perfect. Who cares about the NMC? If he tanks no one will want him and if he plays great the Rangers won't want to move him.

The market for puck-moving defencemen is small. Just look at what Markov got in MTL 5.75 per year/3 years. This isn't that a bad signing and it's a tradeable contract, provided there aren't any NMCs I'm not privy to

let's face it, Stralman came alive last year defensively, but his offensive game has taken a step back. 4.5 for 4-6 years for Stralman meant bye Staal. You can tell the organization is higher on staalsy and their up and coming d-men.
