I think the should be some leeway in that if a player has a career ending injury they can retire and not stay on the cap. I am pretty sure both would still be playing if not for the plays. Savard was a cheapshot and not Bruins have to keep playing the LTIR schell game. Pringer was a high stick. Actually i think both guys were injured on penalty calls. So I think there should be some discussion on the topic.
