Nofreakinway... Even if the Flyers had the cap space I wouldn't want them spending that kind of money on him. I like him, and I think he has a bright future... but 8mil/year? That has yet to be seen...

If he gets injured, that's $4M to live on for the rest of his (and his family) life. Sure he could get another job, but my guess is that he's not going to doctor, lawyer, etc...

He's been playing in the NHL for a decade... and add into that his buyout money... I'm sure he'll be just fine, if he has any brain in his head on how to manage money.
