All I'm saying is that, based on the deals today as a whole (and we can include Nikitin too), it's not looking nearly as bad. Skeptical is fine, but to crucify it wrt the other deals is a bit much.

Fair enough, the deals you posted we equally as bad as the ones I posted were good. Perhaps AMac got a little more bit not crazy money based on the deals from today. I can live with it, especially is he helps Schenn. Luke needs help.

I think Bolland will help the Panthers. He's being vastly overpaid, but they have some good, young centers. Orpik is a net negative from the time he steps on the ice for them.

Yeah and a lot of Bolland's problems are injury related. LTIR > Dead Space

I just thought that Niskanen could of held out for more than 5.75. I guess he went because Orpik went there too?

If you use all of you 10% than you are in a position where you HAVE to move salary and you pretty much gotta bend over and take what some other team will give you. I think that's what they are trying to avoid.

I actually have come around and am hoping that we stand pat for the most part (outside of moving Vinny) .

We were a good enough team after the bad start and coaching change that I feel minor tweaking may be appropriate prior to any major moves.

I am assuming Laughton is on the team, I was wondering if there are any rookies you all are assuming will have a roster spot at any point during next season.

I'd like to see Ghost and maybe Morin.

And I love that Hexy is showing signs of creating the Flyers in thine own image per his role in LA's front office, by appearing to be defense oriented so far.

I think so. They could use some size in the middle. I wouldn't go that high for a guy like Boyle, but I think TB realizes they're very close right now. Boyle seems like a good guy to have when the playoffs roll around.

The difference between the Flyers in season cap picture and the off season cap picture is about 2M. So they can't get into a ton of trouble there. Hextall may just have the plan and staying out of LTIR, fitting in Timonen's bonus as much as possible. And seeing where the team is at the deadline. But that comes with it's own set of problems.
