Guys, goals scored is not the only stat to take into consideration when looking for a winger. Just saying. |

Kulemin and Pouliot are two definite targets. Both would be nice gets.

Somewhat stunned the Rags aren't expected to go after Pouliot. I know they have alot of guys to sign like Zuccarello, Brassard, Kreider, and Stralman. While his numbers weren't great, he was a key component to what I thought the Rags' top line was - Zuccarrello, Brassard and Pouliot. He only had high 30 point totals. Why did it seem like it was more? He will have alot of interest. He made money off this year's performance.

You referring to me and my comments about Kulemin? He is the protypical third line guy. His skill set is that of a third line guy and I don't think he is a second line guy with Geno, even with this small sample size of "chemistry" they have. Sorry.

He's a top 6 talent that has been grossly misused by a terrible hockey coach that is probably a xenophobe. |

One of the worst deals Shero ever made. Sounds corny to say, but Murray was basically a healthy scratch in SJ and wasn't going to be resigned. This was the deal that just kept giving. A second rounder in this draft would have been nice to have. - Oneonta Penguin
That and the Iginla for what he brought were not good deals at all. Pretty much traded his job away that year. |

1st Grabovski and now Kulemin. Two guys with some really nice offensive talent who are inexplicably put into shutdown roles with crappy linemates. |

I don't know ... very sound defensively; decent skater; can throw his body around well; works well in traffic; good puck possession ... you say top six talent, but he translates into a third line guy. Put him with Sutter and Dupes (if Horngvuist is with Crosby) and that is a very good third line.
Bennett, Kulemin and Malkin doesn't do it for me to be honest. |

i still want iginla. |

I'm resorting to being a smartass, the waiting is obnoxious at best...and then there's Oneonta. |

Meh, Malkin just needs someone to bang in the bad bounce once he runs out of moves. JJ worked well in that role. |

So, the Russian version of Warren Young. How many dirty goals did he have with Mario that year he potted 30? |

Yeah him for a 1st and 2 prospects (no idea if they're any good or not) for how bad he was miss managed is a dark stain on Pens history. And he was moved to the #2 line for Dupes. |

It may as well have been just for the 1st, they weren't getting anywhere in our system. |

Poor Iggy ... had to play with Geno and Neal. It's not like he had to play with Glass and Pyatt. The bigger need was him playing with Neal and Geno. Crosby, Dupes and Kunitz was one of the most productive lines in the league.
He wasn't needed. We had the best power play in the league and once B. Morrow came to add some jam, Iggy was redundant.
Ryan Hartman would look great as a Penguin prospect right now. |

Well, that top line sucked in the playoffs, but him on the R side on the PP was sick for like 1 game. Nobody had that shot from that side of the ice. If only 58 could get it under control. What was the #3 line that year?
Edit" Left side of the PP |

The first line was one of the most productive lines in the league. There was tons of chemistry. Not smart ruining that but putting in Iginla. Don't ruin a good thing. That said, Iggy certainly didn't play with passion. Was that because he didn't play with Sid? That is a pretty pouty thing to do. Fact is, he wasn't needed.

2013 Playoffs:
Chris Kunitz: 15gp 5G 5A 10P
Pascal Dupuis: 15gp 7G 4A 11P
Jarome Iginla 15gp 4G 8A 12P
imagine if he was actually used correctly? |
