Sign Kulemin to 2.5M...

Leaves about 2M cap space (give or take depending on LTIR and demotions etc).

Red Wings appear to be working the trade phones now to bolster their blueline. Lost out on Boyle, and apparently out on Niskanen.

Anybody think Booth or Seto would work as bottom basement signings? Guys that might be able to rejuvenate their careers?

I think Martin would actually be a great fit in Detroit.

No offense but a signing like that would fly in the face of the kinds of signings they made today. Matt Martin stinks.

Jussi is worth the 4 mil a year.

We have been laughing at the Orpik deal, and are entertaining ourselves with what Nisk will make and not be worth the hit.

I pretty much agree with this. He probably doubled his numbers playing with Neal and Geno. I was glad the Pens stayed away at that price.

So to all the GM wanna-bees including myself, when playing around with FA signings this time next year, add 50% to the expected player salary you are proposing to make it more in line with reality.
