Don't think MB would do it, but good idea indeed.
I like the fact he keeps $ under the cap for future opportunities down the road.
And I'm also wondering if they're are not thinking of trading Budaj. First I though he was not going anywhere, but after yesterday' presser, meh, I think he could be moved so they don't lose the kid.
All in all, very happy with where he's going. - fidopro
I think he's holding on to cap until things get worked out elsewhere.
1. Chicago $71,216,795 -$2,216,795 23 $0
2. Philadelphia $70,236,429 -$1,236,429 20 $0
3. Washington $67,886,795 $1,113,205 22 $1,113,205
4. Boston $67,359,143 $1,640,857 18 $328,171
5. Tampa Bay $66,868,302 $2,131,698 20 $710,566 |

Man, this age thing is so (frank)ing ridiculous

I take back my point earlier about the Leafs not having a good day.
I didn't realize that Robidas was "A Warrior!!!"

I'm surprised not a single team is willing to take a chance with MDZ so far... |

I heard on 98.5 yesterday around 17 millions of space.
With Subban around 8
Eller 3,5
There's around 6 millions for that missing winger. I like Vrbata - Fredobbface
I think he'll give a chance to a kid, either Sekac or Andrighetto, and keep the cap space for later.

He sure is.
Also, a broken leg is something that heals completely, unlike a knee injury.
He'll be fine, imho. (unless he pulls a Beauchemin) |

So, let me make sure I have this right. He was doing a great job, but they fired him anyhow. And because of this, they suck. Is that right? - hscesq
He inherited a sack of balls from JFJ and old man Fletch. Other than a few idiot FA signings, he did a decent job was he was here. Had the team positioned for cap balance until Dreger's cuz decided to blow his wad on Wendel Tuckerson and go buy-out happy again. |

Just that the legs muscles lose alot of strength during the rehab, that's twice in 2 years for him, at his age it's gonna impact his skating. |

Of course he is!
And I don't think they see it that way (1-2-3). I think they see it as top 9 (3 well balanced lines in no particular order) and a 4th line. |
