He will retire a Devil, there is no reason for him to move, he has money and family stability where he is.
- sloppyseconds2

He's done as a Devil. NO chance he's returning. He won't even get an offer from them. Brodeur is doing serious damage to them by staying. They need to sign Cory Schneider and give him most of the starts.

Brodeur faced 10 less shots per game and posted a very bad 901 save%. Again, even Reimer was better than him. Brodeur is done. You think he's better because of his name. In 2014 Brodeur stinks.

And production-wise, Statsny is not a true #1 centre.

No I think as a backup, he'd be perfect. He brings alot to the table in terms of experience, leadership, and would be beneficial toward Bernier as well.

Their is a clear serious need for change in Toronto, sometimes you have to take chances...Richards will come cheap right now and he may rebound especially with Kessel on his wing
- MapleLeafShame

the guy cant keep up with kessel if he had jet packs on.

He also was a no show the entire playoffs the last two years.

Which last year led him into the press box. and this year to fourth line duty.

No to Richards... HELL no.

If he stuggles in Deboer's system he'll be lucky to hit .900 on the Leafs.

Go after a certain center man for the Columbus blue jackets who felt 'disrespected' and 'slapped in the face' by the Columbus contract offer. 21 year old. pretty nasty.

He would be a backup. I think he is still good for 20 games in a season. He'll be alright, like I said....you cannot put a price on his experience, leadership, and mentorship toward Bernier.

The Leafs don't always need to sign guys. If it doesn't make sense, go the trade route or use your young guys who are cheap.

You mean a one time 60 point player? One that thinks he's entitled to a bigger and longer contract than he deserves? Yeah....exactly the type of guy we need on the Leafs.

The guy whined about getting 37 starts last season. I don't see how he can be such a great leader. He won't be happy with a few starts.

Exactly. He's old, finished and won't accept a true backup role. And yes, James Reimer IS better.

If you look at the numbers, Martin Brodeur cost New Jersey the playoffs. How the (frank) did he start 37 games? Look @ Schneider's numbers.

I'd give the 3rd line C role to P.Holland and trade for Tyler Myers. And that's it. If you get a backup, sign a cheaper one that's better than Brodeur.

You'd have to overy pay to get Myers out of Buffalo
