A lot of these cap space clearing deals for draft picks, & including retained salary will go down, and have gone down recently. Clarkson at a 3.25 cap hit isn't a terrible thing.

Hard to imagine they don't have their eye on Boyle or Ehrhoff.

He's just seeing the two players and ignoring the other part; which is the draft pick and cap space. The value of cap space has gone WAY up.
