Very bad trade for Toronto and JVR makes 400k more.

Kadri is only top 6 that saves them money and that is a terrible trade too. So I'm out of ideas.

JVR? That is completely insane. They want to dump Gorges salary and considered waivers and you want to give up a first line 6'3 winger who is good for 30/30 on a 4 milly contract? They wouldn't do JVR and 8 for the 1st pick and people talk about JVR for Gorges???? That is just nuts

The notion that Nonis and Shanny would trade Kadri for Gorges is asinine. All I've read today indicates that Montreal is trying to shed salary, you don't trade a potential 60+ point centre for someone that a division rival is trying to unload.

Yup, agreed. It does look like the Habs need the $ dump so it would probably be a forward with a dirt cheap contract that has potential, like Leivo or Gauthier
