you need to get over this winning battles and clearing the net.. who cares if he can do that but cant actually play hockey... he was bad - senstroll
Cause we have no one who does this. We have one of the softest teams in the league.
that is also a big part of playing hockey for Dmen.
Ah well.

Well with Phaneuf leading our D group I suppose it cant get any worse.
Guess we'll have to wait and see what they do in the off season.
I still think they wont do much. - Fakepartofme
They've already changed a third if the Defense and this is week 2 of the offseason. Pretty sure there will be quite a few changes.
Only having 7 forwards under contract says that as well |

Why wouldn't Nonis just trade him for a 2nd round pick? - Atomic Wedgie
Or any pick.
Buffalo needs to hit the cap floor.
Heck, could have traded him for 6th rounder......no sense adding penalties to our cap. |

Start over and I know Polak and Granberg are righties, it was just what we have to work with by eliminating the deadwood. |

Would have been more like Gleason and a 3rd for a 6th
Extra 3rd for the cap relief |

Polak replaces Gleason at the same role for 30% less cap hit, and is a better skater, meaning he can handle a bigger role than gleason.

Have you see Polak play?
Are you seriously happy to pay someone 4 million dollars a year on the basis they are odd at pushing people? |

Depends on who they bring in I guess.
Just not a fan of having penalties against our cap for the next 4 years.....AGAIN. |

So Boyle is going to replace gunner? CAuse I surely hope we are not relying on a sophomore to play top-pairing minutes? That always works out well... |

edit: not necessarily those pairs, just the personnel. - LeafMan
Dion is here to stay. NMC kicks in tmrow I believe so unless they trade him today he's staying. Gotta fit him into that six. I'm guessing franson comes back or is traded but who knows what nonis does. I feel like he's playing roulette with his decisions and just goes with where ever the ball may land. |
