Well they got Polak, pretty much replaces him with a slight upgrade.

Leafs fans do this more than any other team on earth - take a guy who absolutely sucks, and hone in on his best stat (no matter how obscure it is) to justify their undying love for the guy.

Gleason was given 16:57 of ice time last year per game. That's less than Liles got.

In other words, he was trusted less than Liles.

Yet he blocked shots, so the Leafs now have a huge hole in the lineup that will be impossible to fill. Because, you know, Gleason blocked shots. Less than two a game, but it's still a really, really important stat.

I just hope we get back Komarov. Sure, he was a 4th liner, but that guy could trash talk in 5 languages. Five languages! He's a real difference maker.

It's the stupidity that unites us all.
