Jesus, can the Leafs really not find people to dump these guys on? I mean it can't be that hard to get Garth Snow's number.
- iTOLDu

Nope they cant...Especially with Nonis as the GM...

It wasn't all muscle though, it can't be done, naturally anyway.
- Mr_Smokey

Likely not all muscle but just google it, lots of article on it,

For now, Schenn said his focus remains on training, which includes picking up a few tips from fitness guru and retired NHLer Gary Roberts.

Now at a little more than 230 pounds, Schenn feels at some point he can catch up to his training partner back in Kelowna. (weber)

The #leafs will buy out the remaining two years of Tim Gleason's contract. He'll count $1.333M against their cap for the next four years.

It's possible today. Just gotta commit.
- iTOLDu

I'm telling you it can't be done unless he was using hgh and even then... I have no doubt a person could put on 25 lbs in 3 months if they're taking in 10,000 calories a day but its not going to be all muscle, he probably wears his fat well....

will never understand why he didn't use compliance on Liles instead of Komi. baffling.
- DoubleDown

I agree with you, but if I'm to defend the Leafs, it would be that they knew Komi was absolutely done.

They were hoping that Liles could re-find his pre-concussion form.

Sadly, he couldn't.

4 players from the Marlies will take up 3 million of that, actually less than that. That's 16 now.

If you mean the kind of splash you make when you take a huge dumper and you get your bottom wet, then yeah, Nonis is gearing up to make a splash tomorrow.

@mirtle: Gleason's buyout cap hit varies from year-to-year but is only $833k this coming season http://t.co/cHSxSp9A2O

your right, im sure Gary helped him out, dont think you should be all muscle and no fat in the NHL you need something to burn, goalies lose like 10 lbs in just water a game

i would think it's more that he thought he could trade Liles without taking salary back. or at least an expiring contract. it was gamble that certainly has backfired.

For anybody who is saying they should of dumped Gleason somewhere. They obviously tried and had no suitors. Some people are so annoying

This looks (to me) to be the new Shanaplan.

Step 1: trim off all the dead branches.

Step 2: allow new branches to grow.

It probably means a grim 2014-15 season, but I'm willing to endure it.

What the hell other choice do I have?

God I love Leafs Nation.

He weighs 106 lbs. He's never played on a North American rink.

And you think he'll play #2 centre next year?

- Atomic Wedgie

I never said that. All I meant was I wonder if that influenced the pick and may influence Kadri's future. I want them to take their time with Nylander. It was just something that came to mind that would not surprise me in Leaf management had that thought pattern.

Calm yourself.
