For those who question the Gunnar trade, I ask a simple question:

How would you classify Gunnarson? What kind of defenceman is he?

Stay at home? No, not really.

Physical? Nope.

Paul Coffey-esque? No, not very good with the puck.

Power play specialist? No, can't really put up points.

Transitional passer? No, he doesn't really do that.

Good positional d-man? No, that's not him.

It's hard to say you are going to miss a guy when you can't even put your finger on what you are going to miss about him.

- Atomic Wedgie

To me he's a very good 5-6 guy on a good team, problem is we had him playing #2. He'll look much better in St.Louis

A little over 13 and a half hours or so to make it happen with the NTC kicking in,

Using your referee powers to steal my post and then insert your own post above mine is an obvious violation of the COC.

Enjoy your ban, douche.

Not going to happen ( IMO ), I believe they are going to surround him with real D and let him get back playing more realistic minutes.

i think all this Dion speculation has been complete and utter horsepoop. just the media taking advantage of the biggest hockey market in the league.

It's nothing more than the idiot media, surrounded by the idiot Toronto fans.

He's the best defenceman on the Leafs - by a country mile. His problem was that he was asked to do too much.

So what's the supposed solution? Get rid of him!

Yeah, that's great logic.

He's a guy that you never notice doing anything good, which, apparantly to some means he's doing a good job. I don't quite undertand the cliche?

what does it matter if you cant label him?

i am not upset at trading him.... to me its just a waste of a move to downgrade a player... while adding a pick and keeping salary.

Gunnarson had one of his worst years...but he is better than what we got

I love the off-season - I can say nice things about Habs fans who are saying nice things about the Leafs.

Everyone would look better in St. Louis as opposed to Toronto. The problem is, that really doesn't help Toronto

He's not any better than polak. They are different players. The leafs get what they want and the blues get what they want. Don't be fooled by his inflated stats from him getting way too much ice time in all situations.

it's the same way we hear rumours in Montreal about the Habs trading Subban.
obviously. why wouldn't they trade him? no doubt they'd win any trade involving him. also, (frank) Jason Spezza.

He is not very good, instead of rehashing everything I posted in the past about his defensive shortcomings, I will just let it go.

Even if in jest, no name calling, thanks.
