according to Larry Brooks, at 2009 draft Toronto offered to take Wade Redden off our hands for our #1 pick, which ultimately turned into Chris Kreider |

800K/$1.7 million/$1.3 million is about what I think it would take to get that done. Am I undershooting these guys potential salaries?
Also, I really wouldn't mind having Carcillo back. I think he is an effective fourth liner and cheap. |

Mathieu Perreault as our 3rd line center? - AgraipVigneaurd
I called for him a few days ago. He had a really good year and Anaheim just got Kesler..a logical choice for 3rd center for us. Wonder what they'd want |

Some of the best moves a GM makes are the ones he doesn't make but no one hears about. |

He is not being qualified by the Ducks so he will be a UFA tomorrow |

True. And I totally forgot about cogs. Kinda shocked they arent gonna qualify him...he's a pretty good offensive player. |

Word is they were worried that they would be forced to give him a ton in arbitration. |

Do you guys hate something like this? Obviously, the third line is a big question mark, and the Boyle money on D could be used upfront. Some of the salaries might be a bit generous as well, but let's say Slats could make it work. Also, you could go cheaper on D, and bolster that third line.
Kreider (2.0) Stepan (3.075) Nash (7.8)
Zucc (3.0) Brassard (4.0) St. Louis (5.6)
Hags (2.25) Miller (900K) Fast (900k)
Carter(1.3) Moore (1.7) Maholtra (800k)
Carcillo (800k)
McDonagh (4.7) Girardi (5.5)
Boyle (5.0) Staal (4.0)
Klein (2.9) Moore (1.8)
Diaz (1.5)
Hank (8.5)
Talbot (600K)
Edit: Could also put Fayne on the D instead of Boyle for a couple of million, and make a run at one of the middle class centers instead. |

I think Brass gets more, and definitely Zucc gets more.
Do we really not have a D in the organization who can step up? That would make things much easier.

If the Rangers give, soon to be 38 year old, Dan Boyle 5 million dollars I'm going to throw a poop fit.

Conner Allen I think would be the closest. I see Brady Skjei being the one that fills the role soon, but he is probably at least a year away. Brass may get more, but I have a feeling that Zucc signs for less than we expect. |

How I look at it with Boyle is..I'd rather give him 2 years for more offense then Stralman 5 years for less offense at the same money. I wonder if Boyle would take less tho |

I disagree. I'd rather Stralman. Younger, cheaper, we know can play here (we always forget this about NYC for some reason). |

They need for a pp QB is extremely important right now. Otherwise I'd probably agree
Edit:I don't see any chance Stralman is cheaper |
