I fully admit I have a blind hatred for Thornton. If here on the Rangers I honestly don't know if I could stomach rooting for the team. But as it looks right now, it looks like it's not happening. I'm thankful for it. - tomburton99
Would feel the same way if it was Crosby? I hate Crosby more then my ex mil, which is very hard to do, but I know he'd help my team..therefore I'd take him |

So if Pouliot goes to Ottawa, what do you guys thing about possibly moving Kreider to that spot? Similar players in the sense that they are not overly skilled puck carriers, not the best on defense but play a hard nosed game and go to the net. Then move MSL to take Kreiders spot. - mdw7413
Not a terrible thought. Our top 6 is still very good no matter you line it up in whatever combo you do it. Hags miller and one more guy make a pretty good third line. Miller is a real key to this team obviously. |

I hate Crosby too, but he has won a stanley cup(largely due to fact he rode Malkin's coattails). But he's a perennial scoring champion and MVP candidate. Little different. |

So you hate jumbo because he hasn't won. He'd help out team offensively which is the only point were making. I feel bad for players like Thornton, in any sport. EVERYTHING is his fault...everything |

Yup, that's what I was thinking. I like Kreider on that line, cause even though Zucc plays like he is 6'8" he cant do what Pouliot or Kreider do. Balances out that line again if we lose Pouliot. |

Score 3 points in a 7 game series, a series which the team you Captain is up 3-0. Then lose the series 4-3, you should take some heat. But again. I've been wrong(Plenty of times before), so I'd probably be wrong about this too. |

Or you could do miller with brass and Zucc. Hags st Louis and a decent center. Lengthens the top 9 a bit |

That would probably be the best option, I just don't know how much confidence AV has in Miller after the comments he made. So I'm just assuming AV starts him on the 4th if he makes the team. |

Which is what really scares me on miller..all the more reason we should focus on forward at the expense of defense
I'm not sold on miller yet whatsoever |

I just question on how you could hate someone so much. He's not possible so it's a moot point.
I hate when one player gets blame for a teams failures. Didn't mean to be a dyck Bout it |

Just playing around with a Statsney lineup. This is about a million over and depend on Slats really getting good deals from some of his own guys.
Kreider (2.0) Statsney (7) Nash (7.8)
Hags (2.25) Step (3.07) MSL (5.6)
Miller (.9) Brassard (4.0) Zucc (3.0)
Fast (.8) Moore (1.7) Carcillo (.8)
Maholta (.8)
Mac (4.7) Girardi (5.5)
Klein (2.9) Staal (4.0)
Diaz (1.5) Moore (1.8)
7th (1.0)
Hank (8.5)
Talbot (.6)
This comes out to just over $70 million, with some obvious bargain ( ie Sather having to convince Brassard and Zucc to take less). And have to shave of an extra million. Just messing around to see what a Statsney lineup would look like without getting rid of Brassard. |

Assuming Sather could make some magic in the Brass, Zucc and Kreider deals, what do you think of that lineup? |

This is crazy and I love what the guy brings. But this is why the Rangers won't an can't sign Boyle.
@BuffNewsVogl: Brian Boyle fits Murray description of guys looking 2 sign w Sabres 2 prove they can play 1st, 2nd line |

I love the look of the forwards, and that center depth would be amazing. The d does scare me a bit. Can Klein constantly be a 20 minute a night defenseman? Diaz and Moore had some issues in a few games they played together. But I understand bringing in Statsny you have to sacrifice elsewhere. Who knows maybe a Skjei, Allen, or Bodie make a big jump and push one of the bottom 2.
I could get on board with this.

If they do that lineup, hopefully it means Staal gets locked up long term this summer as well. |
