Have thick skin dude. Some people can't figure it out. It's all about play-off performance. Then again, Crosby and Letang get passes on this board by several for poopty performances in the play-offs. Big double standard here. Criticize and devalue Kunitz, Dupes, Neal when he was here - all very good players, but continue to give excuses for 87 and 58 poor play-off performances.

Yes, if Nisk is gonna get 6+, there is no use getting another UFA out there. Nisk is the #3 on this team, improve the F's now since they have been neglected the last few yrs.

My thought process is that you could sign Del Zotto at between 2-2.5M. Up until this past year, he was a top 4 defenseman for the Rangers. Don't know what made him fall out of favor this past season, but he is only 24. Would add a little bit of veteran presence. It would be a risk, but i could see him putting up similar numbers to Niskanen, at a lot cheaper of a price.

Agreed, it would only work if they can move Scuds. I just think he would fit the bill (mobile, puck moving defenseman) of what the Pens like on the back end.
