i don't know why you have continued interest in dubnyk. they need someone more capable of handling the job if mason goes down more than a few games. greiss would be my first choice. never been a montoya fan. johnson had success last year, so maybe.

honestly, if the cap weren't an issue, i'd love to take brodeur even at 42, for his final year. i don't care what his numbers say. it won't happen though.

- hammarby31

Agree on Greiss, always thought he could be a 1A if the starter went down.

I was talking to some guy at a family gathering yesterday (no relation) who told me Sanheim would make the team this year since Kimmo retired.....

I then got lip when I informed him Kimmo was still very much on the team, and Sanheim was probably 2-3 years away. Apparently facts dont work well on the internet or in real life.

Just took a peek. As if anyone who leaves the comments know anything about the guys who were drafted. Pretty funny stuff.

Led the Swiss league in Goals this year.

I'm certainly taking a flyer (..... ) on him this year on a cheap, 1 year deal. Stick him with Giroux and Jake and see how he does.

He is an upgrade over Hartnell offensively for sure, that's how I look at it.

- mochoson

I think that's it's interesting that he's out there, but he doesn't seem like a guy that Chief would appreciate. I imagine he'd end up on the 4th-line w/ Vinny before long.

i would have just walked away after he informed you of kimmo's retirement status.

the comments are basically: the flyers are stupid, can't draft for poop, hextall is homer, better players available...etc etc...it's just incredible.

The guy I was talking to also said......

"When I watched him (Sanheim, whose name he couldn't seem to remember even after I said it 2-3 yimes) in college, he always reminded of that one guy we had who was really good. The big guy! He's hurt now"

He meant Chris Pronger. So Travis Sanheims play in college hockey reminded this guy of Chris Pronger. The stupidity of the world scares me.

I like the guy who is complaining about Sanheim because he was 53 on NHL central scouting and telling everyone they don't know hockey

I have no idea what the purpose of Central Scouting is... except to be wrong every year.

Simple minded people are to dense to realize it's just an opinion. Everyone has one. The only weight it carries is whatever you let it carry. I don't even look at scouting lists anymore.

Just give me some early mock drafts, Ill study the players myself.

Seriously, though... they're funded by the NHL, they're not really independent, they employ far fewer scouts than the other services (I bet individual teams employ more scouts than CSS)... no idea what they're there for.

"Scouting reports list the 6-foot-2, 187 pound Lindblom as not being a particularly fast skater but won’t shy away from contact."

Well, I guess he will fit right in with our other not so fast guys.

They will probably want to put some weight on Radel Fazleev. He's a LW which is good.

....

Paul Holgren ruins this team finacially and takes a team that went to the cup finals just 3 years ago to a team that can barely make the playoffs and what happens? He gets a promotion. He should have beenf fired and be forced to pay these ridiculous contracts out of his own pocket.

Christian Erhoff is going to be a UFA and the Flyers are paying $5mm per year to Andrew MacDonald
- Jsaquella

Erhoff isn't a top pairing guy, either.

And spelling his name right is impossible.

And that team that just went to the cup finals 3 years ago, they certainly locked up their playoff position well before the end of the season from what i remember.

Not on a good team, just on Buffalo. He's a great #3.
