Kesler's best days are behind him IMO but who really knows.
- BigStew

He still got a 1st, a borderline top 6 player and a decent 5th-6th defensemen back

That's a good haul

I'm happy with how it turned out, it's the same thing every (frank)ing year with us. We pass up a player and we get super pissed about it and then turns out it wasn't as bad as we thought. No more emotional reactions from me. Murray is in it to win it and I trust him.

Just a general question and not a shot at anyone but how many guys here have actually seen these kids play or play more than once or twice. There are lot of "this guy is a third liner"or "this guy would have been a way better pick".

Seems to be a lot of people questioning Murray and our scouts who seem to be very diligent with their work and put a load of time into evaluations. Not sure I have any reason to question what they are doing based on what I know of Murray. Time will tell I guess.

Considering that Kessler requested a trade and gave few teams to work with i would say that the trade was ok.

Great haul, my comment was more towards comparing him to Myers who's better days seem to be ahead of him and not behind him. I would pay more for Myers than Kesler.

Agreed, I'm sure if Myers was really available, someone would of grabbed him, Murray was probably just fielding offers

Another case of you should just retire. Don't tarnish your career by playing for another organization.

You're on a message board dedicated to some of the most passionate hockey fans, if you don't find people voicing their opinons, something is wrong.

I think Stewart is 50/50 but other than I've been expecting a rather quiet summer.

I can't believe the Sharks haven't done a thing to shake up that team yet

I still can't believe we passed on ivan barbashev..

will see what happens but i know barbashev has the nhl potential to be a tarasenko
like pick ..

to

Lemieux - potential 3rd liner

- GERBE!!!75PTS

if Lemieux has half of what his dad had, he will be a fixture on the second line that opens up the other two guys

you have not seen his dad play

hence much to learn

I'm going to jut put it out there that Claude Lemieux is actually one of my favorite hockey players from the 90s, and if his son can be 75% of what he was I will love this pick.
- nfph

claude lemieux, probert and mike foligno were my 3 favorite players

I think we'll get the rfa's done (except for McBain), sign a few Ufa's (Moulson, Orpik) and be done. That could get them to the floor.

I think that he could fetch a nice return from a contender. Firsts for the next draft will be tough for a player like Ehrhoff, unless he's really coveted by someone. He could easily get a good prospect and a 2015 2nd.

There was a reason teams wanted him for the playoffs. Clutch and determined.

Hopefully Brendan's a chip off the old block

I'd be happy with a young roster player in return. He might be moved at next year's deadline.
