Not a single one. Stan Bowman joked about it when the Hawks made their last pick, saying "This is the second time we've come to Philadelphia and had a blast" and the Pens' guy stole Homer's joke from the Pittsburgh draft about the warm reception the team received from the fans.

i disagree a bit. buffalo, picking 2nd, just walked up and made the selection. it's pretty typical for the visiting clubs to acknowledge the host club. it gets old after the first few teams, but it's just what you do. a few others followed later.

bowman jabbed with their first pick too, saying "it's great to be back in philadelphia."

i don't like it, but whatever.

Am I the only one who is worried about the cap situation? If Vinny doesn't get traded we are over the cap without a full roster. We need a backup goalie and a winger to fill the lineup and buying out Vinny is not an option as it Franks us hard next season when the cap penalty jumps to 3 mill for the next two seasons, while Schenn and Voracek also come up for resigning. The only solution I see is to destroy the blueline.....

The Flyers aren't over the Cap. That total includes Pronger. This upcoming Season the Flyers Upper Limit is essentially going to be $73,941,429

I don't think they'll have to settle for just anyone. Mike Riberio is out there now, pretty decent playmaking center. He just needs a tune up as far as attitude. Joe Thornton might be on the block. Mealeau. Much better options.

Ribiero might not even be playing this season.

Thornton will cost a fortune and wants to go to NY or stay in SJ.

I loved that. I hate when teams drone on. Go up, make your damned pick and sit back down.
