Even talked to Darryl Sutter a bit last night, the Kings box was near us as was the Rogers sportsnet box.

I yelled at Sam Costantino (color analyst for junior games) where is tv partner was at

I don't think they'll have to settle for just anyone. Mike Riberio is out there now, pretty decent playmaking center. He just needs a tune up as far as attitude. Joe Thornton might be on the block. Mealeau. Much better options.
- SuperSchennBros

Did you read what the Yotes GM said about Riberio? I don't anyone will be taking him. Thornton and Marleau have NTCs and contracts. Might not be that easy.

Bill according to Mark Edwards Oskar Lindblom is working with a skating coach & also looks like his game is better on smaller ice.........Will he stay in Sweden or come over to a junior league?

I'm a big fan of this draft class. Of course, no one knows how they'll turn out but overall I'm pleased with the picks. No Ghoul-type in the 3rd round makes it that much better

Myself & Jsaq said the same thing.......A lot to like in this class. It showed with what Hexy said in that they want to draft & develop and this class is that to a T

(frank) missed the 2nd day too.
People probably don't have much of an opinion on prospects after round 4, but what is the general consensus on picks 2, 3, and 4?

I liked 2 and 3, based on what I've read. I have no opinion after that.

I really liked 1. Sanheim was one of the guys I was hoping the Flyers would end up with.

As you note, its pretty much impossible to tell how draft picks will turn out. Turning back the clock a ways, the 1999 draft was supposed to have this incredibly rich haul.... I think there were like 7 or 8 guys in the 1st round who werent total busts, and the best players to come out of 1st round were the Sedin twins.

I haven't read anything about Ribero but he's had attitude issues his entire career, so nothing would surprise me but teams keep taking him.

interesting that hextall didn't select one goaltender. figured they'd select one and only one. also surprised the demko didn't go first.

Absolutely, the draft sure isn't an exact science. Like many on here, my opinions come mainly from what I've read about the players. Very few have I actually seen play. But I like reading that the group as a whole seem to be strong skaters and that we didn't seem to waste an early-mid round pick on a goon/best case scenario 4th liner (Ghoul, Klotz, etc). I also like that we spent more of our late picks on high skill, good skating, somewhat undersized players versus guys with size and not much else. In 5+ years, we'll see how this class really is.

I never said any of us should be interested. I'm saying it's still a 50/50 chance someone is desperate enough to sign him.

Word is he was late to a number of team meetings, missed a couple of team busses, got into it w/ Tippett at practice, and his marriage is on the rocks.... and he was a terrible fit for them as a signing.

I'd imagine it depends on who takes him in the CHL import draft & his willingness

He was arrested when he played for Dallas, I believe he faught Koivu in practice in Montreal, he's blatantly faked injuries during games, where he's mocked the other team when they got called for a penalty after the fake injury and rumour has it early in his career he would refuse line changes. A lot of this can be looked up on Google and YouTube
